West Brom 0-3 Leicester

Timothy Castagne scored on his debut as Leicester comfortably beat newly promoted West Brom in their opening Premier League game.

Brendan Rodgers’ men tailed off badly after last season’s restart, finishing fifth for a Europa League place, and made one addition to their side during pre-season.

The Foxes added two more goals, both coolly taken penalties from Jamie Vardy, after the striker and James Justin were brought down in the box.

Slaven Bilic’s side failed to create any clear-cut chances – Matheus Pereira’s low effort from the angle was kept out by Kasper Schmeichel’s outstretched leg, the Baggies’ only shot on target.
