Jose Mourinho plots a shock return to Chelsea

Current boss Maurizio Sarri is expected to leave the club for Italian champions Juventus in the next 48 hours.

The 60-year-old has agreed a three-year-deal to become Juve boss, having endured a tough but successful spell with the Blues.

And The Sun are reporting that Jose Mourinho, who was has been sacked twice before by Chelsea, is in favour of a return.

Club legend Frank Lampard still remains the hot favourite to take over as Blues manager but the news that Mourinho could return to Stamford Bridge will stun supporters.

The report also states that Chelsea are prioritizing getting in a manager with experience.

The Portuguese has been out of a job since he was axed by Manchester United in December following a series of fallout with players and a string of dismal results.

Express Sport understands that Chelsea have conjured up a six-man shortlist in anticipation of Sarri’s exit.

Wolves’ Nuno Espirito Santo, Watford’s Javi Gracia and Derby’s Lampard are on the list, as is former Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri.
