Raheem Sterling scored a hat-trick and won a penalty as England began their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with an impressive victory over the Czech Republic.

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling, who was involved in the opening four goals, scored the opener 24th minute by sliding in from Jadon Sancho’s cut-back before being fouled just before half-time and Harry Kane scored the resulting penalty.

Sterling scored the second with a curling finish into the far corner, then he completed his treble with a deflected strike from outside the box.

A defensive mishap resulted to 5th goal after Bristol City defender Tomas Kalas sent the into his own net.

The result allowed the opportunity for Southgate to give debuts to West Ham midfielder Declan Rice and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi in the second half.
