FK Krasnodar 1-1 Valencia (Agg. 2-3)
An injury-time goal from Guedes sends Valencia through to the Europa Cup Quarter finals, in a match that was poised to give FK Krasnodar their furthest ever advance in European competitions.
The first leg at Valencia ended in 2-1 with FK Krasnodar having an away goal advantage, Magomed Suleymanov scored an 85th-minute goal with a left footed shot from outside the box from Viktor Claesson’s pass.
The host would have scaled through with the away goal advantage. The furthest they have reached is the last 32 prior to this season’s competition. It’s only their third ever campaign in the Europa League.
But a 93rd minute equalizer from Gonçalo Guedes from Kevin Gameiro’s pass gave Valencia the advantage to scale through to the Quarter finals.
