Inter Milan knocked out of the Europa last 16 by Eintracht Frankfurt

First half goal from Luka Jovic was enough for Eintracht Frankfurt to knock Inter Milan out of the Europa League at the San Siro and advanced into the quarter-finals.

The 21-year-old Serbia forward, who is on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt from Portuguese club Benfica raced clear to lob the ball over Inter keeper Samir Handanovic.

Inter, who were without Mauro Icardi, introduced 16-year-old Sebastiano Esposito, as they chased the game.

However, Frankfurt held on to reach their first quarter-final of a major European competition since 1994-95.

Luciano Spalletti’s Inter side currently reside in fourth position in Serie A, with Frankfurt in fifth position in the Bundesliga.
