Dynamo Kiev 0-5 Chelsea (Agg. 0-8)

Giroud scored hat-trick as Chelsea earn their biggest win and inflict heaviest defeat for Dynamo Kiev in European competition.

Chelsea won the first leg 3-0 at Stamford Bridge before this game and started brightly.

Olivier Giroud headed-in  from six yards the first goal within 5 minutes of play after Willian’s corner is flicked on by the head of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

He doubled Chelsea’s lead 33 minutes, poking home a cross from Alonso.

Then Marcos Alonso stabbed in from a close range Callum Hudson-Odoi’s cross to make it 3 nil before the break.

Kiev captain Serhiy Sydorchuk went close to a consolation for the hosts in the second period, hitting the post from close range.

But Giroud completed his hat-trick with a header from another Willian corner, before Hudson-Odoi‘s placed effort put the gloss on a dominant display.

Chelsea will discover their quarter-final and potential semi-final opponents on Friday at 5:00 PDT.
