Vardy double gives Rodgers first win as boss

Leicester City 3-1 Fulham

Jamie Vardy’s 100th goal for Leicester handed Brendan Rodgers his first win as Foxes’ manager as Fulham edge closer to relegation.

Rodgers – who left Celtic, started his reign with a defeat at Watford, he received a warm reception from fans at the King Power Stadium before kick-off.

Jamie Vardy unselfishly sent a through ball across to Youri Tielemans, who slotted it into an open net to give Leicester the lead after 20 minutes.

The substitute Floyd Ayite beat Ben Chilwell to the ball and ran into the box, slotting home a great finish to give the visitors an early second half equalizer.

Jamie Vardy restored the Foxes lead with 12 minutes to go, then he got his century goal after he slotted home past Sergio Rico after 86th minute.

The win leaves Fulham, who are under the interim manager Scott Parker adrift from safety and are now closer to heading back to the Championship after just one season in the top flight.
