Chelsea display a commanding first leg victory over Dynamo Kiev

Chelsea 2-0 Dynamo Kiev

Chelsea beat Dynamo Kiev in a comfortable last-16 first-leg match to move closer to the quarter-finals. Callum Hudson-Odoi scored his third Europa League goal of the season as

Pedro scored the opener 17th minute after he poked in from close range Olivier Giroud’s backheel pass.

Willian doubled Chelsea’s lead five minutes after the hour mark as he fired a free kick from 25 yards up over the wall to top corner.

The teenager Hudson-Odoi came in as a late substitute to seal the victory and put Chelsea in control of the tie.

Dynamo Kiev did not manage a shot on target and have now visited England 15 times without a win.

The second leg is at Kiev’s Olympic Stadium next Thursday at 09:55 AM PT.
