Despite dominating possession 62%, Liverpool had only one shot on target. Manchester United had 3 shots and the best chance of the game fell to United in the first half when keeper Alisson nicked the ball from Jesse Lingard.

Joel Matip scored an own goal but was ruled out as an offside which occurred in the build-up.
