A Controversial hand-goal contributed to Fulham’s 18th Premier League defeat at West Ham

West Ham came from a goal down to after a controversial hand-goal to give Fulham their 18th Premier League defeat. Javier Hernandez’s scored with his arm to level for the home team.

The visitors started brightly and got an early opener just three minutes, Ryan Babel scored from close range a pass from Ryan Sessegnon.

From first  Hernandez had headed in from a yard to punish goalkeeper Sergio Rico’s mistake, but a replay from behind the goal clearly showed the Mexican striker converting via his arm.

Javier Hernandez gave the home team a controversial equalizer just before half-an-hour mark.

From first sight, it looked like the Mexican striker headed it in, but the replay showed that he converted it using his arm.

Just five minutes before the break Issa Diop made a 15-yard run beating four Fulham defenders and headed in Robert Snodgrass’ corner cross.

Michail Antonio nodded in an injury time goal on his 100th Premier League appearance to seal the victory.

West Ham move up to ninth but Fulham stay in 19th place – eight points adrift of safety – missing a great opportunity to close gap on Cardiff – 17th, who were thrashed 5-1 by Watford.
