Roma 2-1 FC Porto
Nicolo Zaniolo’s double earned Roma a victory over Porto giving them an advantage in their Champions League last-16 first leg.
After a goalless first half, three goals were scored late in the second half within nine minutes.
Nicolo Zaniolo scored his first goal of the match 70th minute after he controlled Edin Dzeko’s pass, shooting low past Iker Casillas.
The teenager – Nicolo, was signed from Inter Milan for £4m (4.5m euros) in the summer as part of the £33m move that took Radja Nainggolan in the other direction.
He doubled their lead from six yards after Dzeko’s 20-yard shot hit the post.
But Porto pulled one back 79th minute from Adrian Lopez, giving the visitors a vital away goal.
It is a first defeat for Porto after winning their last five Champions League matches in the group stages.
The second leg in Porto is on Wednesday, 6 March.
