Arsenal beat Chelsea to keep alive Premier League top four race

Lecazette and Koscielny scored as Arsenal earned a vital win against Chelsea to keep their Premier League top four race alive. This victory moves Arsenal three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea as they restore their fifth position above Manchester United who went fifth after beating Brighton. 

Alexandre Lacazette scored the opening goal 14th minute to put Arsenal ahead.

Arsenal doubled their lead before second half through captain Laurent Koscielny’s 39th minute shoulder-goal.

Chelsea struggled to create chances in the first half but stroke the post before half-time through Marcos Alonso’s header at a corner.

They dominated the second half but failed to have a shot on target until the 82nd minute as Arsenal’s defence, led by the excellent Koscielny, held firm.
