Everton 2-0 AFC Bournemouth
Zouma heads in & Calvert-Lewin seals win with injury-time finish to give Everton a victory over Bournemouth and moved them to mid table of the Premier League.
Kurt Zouma headed a powerful goal just on the hour mark from Lucas Digne’s cross following a corner – his first goal for the club.
Everton started the game poorly with Bournemouth dominating the first 30 minutes but the visitors failed to score. David Brooks and Joshua King came close to scoring.
Everton had not won their previous four home league matches and failed to have a first-half shot on target for the second successive league game at Goodison Park.
But they improved in the second half Zouma’s goal and Dominic Calvert-Lewin injury time finish to seal the win.
Everton move to 10th, while Bournemouth remain 12th despite losing six consecutive league away games.
