Manchester City returned to the top Premier League table after win over Everton

Manchester City moved back to the top of the English Premier League after a comfortable 3-1 win against Everton at the Etihad Stadium. 

Gabriel Jesus scored an early goal from tight angle for Manchester City from Leroy Sane’s through cross and then headed in the second goal five minutes into second half, assisted from Sane’s cross.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin got one goal back for the visitors with a 65th-minute header but Raheem Sterling‘s first touch as a substitute (2 minutes 42 seconds in the field) restored City’s two-goal lead. He headed in from Fernandinho’s cross. Kevin de Bruyne played a part in the last 15 minutes of the game in his first appearance since 1 November after recovering from knee injury.

Midfielder who has been out with a knee injury, came on as a substitute in the 75th minute for his first appearance since 1 November.

Manchester City are now top of the table with 2 points against Liverpool who will welcome their rival Manchester United at home tomorrow at 8:00 AM PST.
