Higuain missed a chance to equalize after he failed to convert the penalty awarded by VAR.
Cristiano Ronaldo sealed the victory nine minutes to regulation time, then Higuain was issued two cards in quick succession after he rages at the referee when issued the first yellow for foul on Juve defender Medhi Benatia. The second card was red for dissent.
Juventus remain at the top of Serie A table six points clear of Napoli, while Milan are fifth, 13 points behind.
