French champions Paris Saint-Germain extended their 100% Ligue 1 start to 12 wins after the two top scorers of the league, Kylian Mbappe (11 goals) and Neymar (9 goals) scored in the 2-1 win over Lille on Friday.

It is the first time any team in Europe’s top five leagues have won their opening 12 matches in a row. The previous record was held by Tottenham, 11-match winning run back in 1960-61 season.

Kylian Mbappe scored the first goal 70th minute, his 11th of the Ligue 1 season and 13th goal in all competitions, buried a curling shot from 25-yard past Lille keeper.

Neymar doubled their lead six minutes to regulation time with a deflected shot, then Nicolas Pepe scored an injury-time consolation penalty goal for Lille, there was no time left for an equalized.

PSG are on top of Ligue 1 table with 36 points, Lille 11 points behind them. Montpellier, who are third-placed could go on level point with Lille if they win the fifth-placed Olympique de Marseille on Sunday. See the highlights below:
