Chelsea coach Marco Ianni has been fined £6,000 by the Football Association for celebrating in front of Jose Mourinho after an injury-time equalizer in a 2-2 draw against Manchester United .
Ianni was wildly celebrating with clenched fist in front of Manchester United manager after Ross Barkley scored an injury-time equalizer at Stamford Bridge. This led to an angry confrontational reaction by Mourinho as the Ianni ran into the tunnel, but the Portuguese was quickly pulled away by his coaching staff and stewards near the tunnel.
FA said that Ianni accepted the improper conduct charge and was subsequently fined £6,000. Mourinho was not charged but was “formally reminded of his responsibilities”.
Mourinho stated during his press conference that Chelsea coach and his assistant apologized to him after the match, which took place at Stamford Bridge on 20 October.
