A top class display from Mohamed Salah with a goal and two assists helped Liverpool move three points ahead of Manchester City on top of the Premier League Table.

A left footed shot from Mohamed Salah from the left side of the six yard got Liverpool the first goal in the 10th minute of the game, making it his seventh goal of the season in all competitions for Liverpool.

Cardiff City improved so well in the second half, but Sadio Mané doubled Liverpool’s lead 66th minute.

After a sustained threat, Cardiff pulled a goal back with their first shot on target 13 minutes from time, as Liverpool defenders switched off, Callum Paterson steered the goal past Alisson.

But Liverpool scored two late goals in three minutes; the substitute Xherdan Shaqiri restored the two-goal advantage with his first goal for the club, Sadio Mane chipped-in the fourth goal to seal the point, making it his 50th Premier League goal and 40th for Liverpool.

Liverpool side will remain on top until at least Monday, when Manchester City take on fifth-placed Tottenham at Wembley.
