Sevilla 6-0 Akhisarspor
Sevilla thumped by Akhisarspor 6-0 in a dominating display to go top of Group J on goal difference. Akhisarspor have been on the receiving end from the other clubs in the group, losing all three games so far to remain bottom.
Roque Mesa scored the opener 7 minutes into the game and two minutes later Pablo Sarabia doubled the lead of the Spanish side from penalty spot, resulting from a foul in the 18-yard box, making it his 7th goal in 7 matches. Quincy Promes’ close range stunning acrobatic shot left the goalkeeper – Milan Lukač scrambling to save but he ended up spilling it into his net, it was recorded as an own-goal.
The Spanish side’s dominance continued after the break as Luis Muriel, Quincy Promes, and Gabriel Mercado were all on score-sheet within 17 minutes of the second half.
The Group J is a very tough and tight group, three of the four clubs are all on 6 points with Sevilla leading with a great margin of goal-difference. FK Krasnodar are second even though they were beaten 2-1 by Standard Liege.
