Danny Wellback scored the late goal to ensure a perfect record for Arsenal

Danny Welbeck‘s late goal secured a victory for Arsenal against Sporting Lisbon in Portugal as Unai Emery’s side extend their winning streak to 11 games, retaining their place at the top of Europa League Group E.

The striker capitalized on the error from Sporting center back Sebastian Coates to settle the contest in favour of Arsenal as his shot went through the keepers leg 77th minute.

The first-half was generally quiet with only two shots on target and some missed opportunities for both teams; Nani, a former United winger missed the best chance of  Sporting with his high curling effort. Arsenal’s winger –  Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s free-kick was saved comfortably by Sporting’s keeper Renan Ribeiro.

Arsenal remain top of the group with nine points from three wins, while Sporting trail in second with six points. The other Group E game ended in a draw FK Qarabag 0-1 Vorskla Poltava
