It became a nerve-wrecking night for England as Spain mounts more pressure forward especially for the goalkeeper – Jordan Pickford, who luckily escaped a penalty appeal, as he appeared to have brought down Rodrigo.
Spain hit the woodwork and Sergio Ramos scored a late consolation goal 97th minute. England secured a well deserved historic away victory over Spain – the first away win over Spain before today was the 4-2 in 1987 .
It is also a shocking defeat for Spain because they rarely lose in their own field.
