Dramatic day today in the Premier League games with three red cards. Tottenham and Everton enjoyed a narrow win, while Watford suffered a heavy defeat against Bournemouth.
Tottenham 1-0 Cardiff
In the 18th minute of the game Tottenham scored the only goal through Eric Dier. He tapped in a loose ball from inside the six-yard box.
Cardiff played most of the second half with 10 men after Joe Ralls was sent off 58th minute of the game for a second-half challenge on Lucas Moura.
Even with 10 men Cardiff did very well but failed to score, Tottenham won the match but they did not play well generally.
After the match, Tottenham manager – Mauricio Pochettino said that Tottenham needs to improve even though this is their best start to a Premier League season.
Leicester 1-2 Everton
Gylfi Sigurdsson‘s spectacular second-half goal gave Everton a 2-1 win against 10-man Leicester. Wes Morgan was sent-off three minutes after the hour mark, a second yellow card for his second yellow for his foul on Richarlison.
Everton scored seven minutes into first half through Richarlison with a close-range volley, his 4th goal for Everton making him joint top scorer with Richarlison for the club this season.
Ricardo Pereira scored an equalizer for Leicester five minutes before the end of first half.
Leicester tried to force the game to an equalizer after Sigurdsson’s goal until the end of the game, Schmeichel also joined the attack for a corner, but the game ended in the favour of Everton.
Watford 0-4 Bournemouth
Watford were humiliated by Bournemouth with a 4-0 defeat. Watford’s performance was generally poor including a red card 32nd minute of first half to Christian Kabasele for a second yellow card.
Bournemouth scored 14th minute of first half through David Brooks before Joshua King converted from the spot after being brought down by Christian Kabasele, who was sent off for a second yellow. Joshua King scored his second goal of the match and third goal for Bournemouth in first-half injury time. Callum Wilson scored the last goal early second half.
This is the biggest away victory for Bournemouth in the Premier League.
