Napoli dominated the second half, stroked against the bar several times and scored a regulation time goal through Lorenzo Insigne to secure a valuable win against Liverpool. Insigne has now scored four goals in his past six Champions League matches.
Tottenham 2-4 Barcelona
Two minutes into the game, Philippe Coutinho‘s right footed shot from outside the box to the bottom left corner got Barcelona started. This rattled Tottenham as they fight to regain control. However what makes the headline is the right footed spectacular volley from outside the box by Ivan Rakitic, 28th minute of the first half, making it 2 goals.
Tottenham fought so hard during second half and earned a goal deficit through their top striker – Harry Kane 52nd minute during the second half. But their celebration was cut short four minutes later by Lionel Messi‘s spectacular drive and left footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner, making it 3-1.
Tottenham scored again through Erik Lamela‘s left-footed shot from outside the box to the bottom right corner. However Messi‘s 90th minute goal, his second of the night secured Barcelona’s win of the night. The game ended 2-4 in favour of the visitors.
Atletico Madrid 3-1 Club Brugge
In a match dominated by Atletico Madrid – 15 shots with 6 on target. Antoine Griezmann scored the opening goal 28th minute into the game but Arnaut Danjuma of Club Brugge equalized before the end of first half.
Griezmann scored his second of the night 7 minutes past the hour mark and a late goal from Koke sealed the win for Atletico Madrid, final result: 3-1.
