Mohamed Salah’s Late goal puts Liverpool 2nd in the Premier League

Mohamed Salah
Salah’s 29th EPL goal of the season

Mohamed Salah’s late goal puts Liverpool temporary in second position. The Egyptian and Liverpool striker scored from a close range after a cross from Andy Robertson. This goal makes it his 29th goal of the English Premier League season. Salah has currently scored more goals than 7 clubs combine in the EPL this season and has equal Drogba’s highest EPL goal in a season. He is chasing the joint record of most goals in a season held by Alan Shearer (1994-95) and Andrew Cole (1993-94) 34 goals.

Luka Milivojevic scored an early lead goal for Crystal Palace when he converted from a penalty spot kick in the first half after keeper Loris Karius took out Wilfried Zaha.

And Sadio Mane equalized for Liverpool through James Milner’s cross shortly after the break.

Crystal Place fought back after the equalizer leading to two clear goals missed by Christian Benteke.

Mane was lucky, should have been sent off with a second yellow card after deliberately handling the ball.

The match ended with Liverpool comeback after Salah’s buried his 29th Premier League goal of the season – equaling the league record of scoring in 21 matches in a 38-game season held by Cristiano Ronaldo and Robin van Persie.
