Képler Laveran Lima Ferreira commonly known as Pepe has just signed a 2-year deal on free transfer to Beşiktaş. The 34-year old Brazilian-born Portuguese defender has played for 10 years in Madrid after joining the Spanish giant from Porto on a deal of about £26m (30 million euros). He has won three La Liga and three European Champions League with Madrid. He scored an added-time equalizer on Sunday and Portugal went on to win the game 2-1 and clinched a 3rd place title in the confederation tournament.
The Turkish club will be playing in the 2017/18 champions League so we will still see more of Pepe in action. He is a ruthless and passionate defender; this has earned him four red cards during his career at Madrid. However, in recent years he has become a solid and calm defender that can score goals.
